Introduction

The prevalence of these significant inequalities is much greater than desirable. When we explore the current situation, we discover wide and enduring income disparities between the wealthy and the impoverished, and these gaps are even expanding. It is evident that individuals who have historically been less privileged or belong to marginalized communities tend to remain in those circumstances, with limited prospects for lifting themselves out of poverty. There are various ways to examine the absence of equal opportunities, all of which are interconnected. The disparity in outcomes is manifested through variations in academic achievement, professional growth, income levels, and so on.

Gender stereotypes impact the perception of job suitability based on gender, leading to unequal pay. Despite some progress, instances of gender discrimination persist. Achieving global advancements in human development and economics depends on achieving full gender equality. N.M. Kamrany's study reveals that eliminating employment gender discrimination in Japan would result in a 15% GDP increase.

ultimately give social phenomena individual senses and meanings within a group or society. Determining the boundaries and extent of these interrelations is a challenge in today's society.

Education, whether formal or informal, provides a lasting opportunity for individuals in our community to advance and strengthen as a society. Unfortunately, discriminatory hiring practices still exist in certain organizations even in the 20th Century. These organizations selectively choose candidates based on gender, disregarding their education and experience. To combat this discrimination, it is essential for individuals to educate themselves and enhance their leadership skills.

Women possess qualities that make them highly suitable for high-level leadership positions, potentially more so than men. Currently, women recognize the significance of higher education in attaining elevated roles within organizations. Traditionally, men have been seen as dominant figures in organizations; however, times are changing. In leadership scenarios, men tend to display more aggression, competition,independence,and self-confidence when making decisions or exercising their leadership.

Some experts argue that women possess qualities better suited to modern society, such as being supportive, adaptable, collaborative, and inclusive. These qualities go beyond financial motivations and are recognized as promoting a company's progress and growth through a forward-looking perspective. However, it is important to acknowledge the negative effects of women's underrepresentation in managerial positions on both individuals and society as a whole. This hinders the realization of one's full potential at an individual level.

The frustration and demotivation experienced by women often stem from the stereotypes associated with being female. These stereotypes include perceiving women as emotional, weak, submissive, dependent, sensitive, understanding, or uncompetitive. Consequently, these stereotypes frequently result in the belief that women are incapable of holding high-level positions such as CEO,

entrepreneur, or manager. As of July 2013, there were only 19 elected female presidents and prime ministers globally. In the business world specifically, women currently occupy a mere 4.6% of Fortune 500 CEO positions and also 4.6% of Fortune 1000 CEO positions (G. Llopi, 2014).

The perception of organizations towards women as a threat stems from their recognition of our potential to excel as leaders. To overcome the barriers preventing progress, a solution is for organizations to embrace inclusivity among all employees. Recognizing and embracing diversity in the world is crucial for success. Corporate leaders must understand that waiting for time to pass will not eliminate the obstacles hindering minorities and women in advancing their careers. These leaders need to take proactive measures by identifying cultural aspects within their organization that impede progress, advocating for diversity across the board, and implementing initiatives that address attitudinal, cultural, and organizational barriers (Catalyst, p.2, 1993).

Organizations should assume the responsibility of addressing discrimination by holding managers accountable for their flaws and mistakes. In order to reduce discrimination and unfairness in the workplace, organizations must actively retrain both managers and employees. The practice of evaluating individuals based on their ethnicity, sexual orientation, race, or religion must be eliminated. Discrimination prevents employees from reaching their full potential and making valuable contributions to society. As discussed in the Ted video, those with privilege often remain unaware of its existence (M).

According to Kimmel (2015), as a Hispanic individual, I do not have the privilege of avoiding racism. This highlights the importance for organizations to educate themselves on diversity in order to address bias.

Conclusion

Racist prejudices involve having negative or discriminatory attitudes towards individuals or groups

based on their skin color or ethnicity. Regardless of our cultural background or geographic location, we have all witnessed the impact of racist prejudices and racism. These effects can take various forms such as stereotypes, violence, underfunded schools, unemployment, police brutality, inadequate housing, disproportionate imprisonment of innocent individuals based on their appearance, and other ways.

Racial prejudices and racism are widespread in many areas of society, including the media, service organizations, workplaces, neighborhoods, schools, local governments, and even our own block. I strongly believe that through providing a strong education and proper guidance, we can reduce discrimination. When companies establish effective policies and train their managers to prevent such discrimination, it becomes possible to eliminate it entirely from the workplace. Prioritizing leadership and career development is vital for overcoming cultural and environmental barriers that impede the advancement of minorities and women.

Training programs are typically short and targeted towards specific areas, while development programs aim to achieve long-term objectives (Catalyst, p.19, 1993). From my humble perspective, it is crucial for employers to treat all individuals equally in order to attain success for their company. Ultimately, we can all learn to demonstrate respect towards one another in every aspect.
