V goes with creation and starts to hear his tale. Describes leaving V's apartment and going into the wild. Tells about his learning of the world through his discoveries. Learns about fire. He goes to a village and causes many people to fear him. Takes refuge in hovel and starts to observe people who live in cottage.

Starts to observe neighbors a lot and realizes emotions. He realizes they are sad because they are poor because he has been stealing their food. Vows to learn their language. Learns how hideous he is when he sees his reflection. Grows affectionate towards neighbors.

Safie arrives at cottage. She doesn't speak same language as cottagers. He learns to read. Now that he can speak and read perfectly he starts to learn about human society. Realizes he is deformed and alone.

Figures out background of cottagers. They are named felix agatha and de lacy. They become exiled from france. they move to germany.

when foraging for food the creation find books, sorrows of werter, lives, and paradise lost. doesn't realize paradise lost is fictional and thinks of it as realistic. he finds pages of v's journal and realizes v hates the creation. connects to paradise lost because he feels like adam and v is god. thinks he should reveal himself to cottagers. Monster begins to speak to de lacy because he is blind but felix and agatha force him to leave.

he swears to revenge himself against all humans. he goes towards Geneva. when he gets near geneva the monster sees william frankenstein. When william says is name the monster gets angry and kills him. the monster then takes the picture of his mother to frame justine moritz. the monster wants v to create a female companion for him.

the monster works hard to persuade v to make a companion for him. v starts to see the monsters point of view. promises to take companion to south america and they will never harm anyone. v agrees to make companion.

v begins to doubt the agreement to make another monster. victor has to go to england to make new monster. v wants to marry elizabeth but has to make companion for monster first, then they will marry. v goes with henry clerval to london.

v and henry travel through england and scotland. victor is impatient to start work. so he starts and works hard to finish to release bond between him and monster.
