Kindness can be seen in many perspectives. There are people that think it is necessary and then there are selfish people that think to their selves that they did not do anything for me so why should I? Kindness is something everyone should offer to those around them. Being kind to others shows to others that you are a positive individual and that you are generous. Showing compassion to others brightens their moods and enlightens their day. Kindness is an act which can start off as a gesture and can end with a strong friendship. A reputation declares what kind of person you are whether it is good or bad.
Nobody wants to be known as a discourteous person so how can we be seen as a positive individual? The
...best solution is to be a kind character. For example, if a boy in high school does not do his work, bullies others and is impolite then others would decide that his reputation would be negative. But if he were to be a strong student, friendly to everyone and was very generous, then he would be recognized as a positive and kind individual. Jesse Jackson is a very wise man and he knew exactly what he was meant when he said, “Never look down on anybody unless you are helping them up”.
This means that you should always be kind to others no matter what the circumstances are. If there is someone who needs some help then you should be kind to them and help them up. What this does is that if there was an event that caused the individual
to be depressed then a positive attitude and some generosity can enlighten their day. For example, a homeless person lives on the streets begging people for money so that he can afford a cheap meal. But if someone were to feed them a proper meal then this would brighten their spirit and that could make their day.
Kindness does much more for people than what we could have ever expected. How many friendships can be created with one being an obnoxious and arrogant individual? This is why to make friends you have to offer kindness and compassion to others. This way the other individual senses that they are trying to become friends and then it works out. For example, imagine that a person was recently laid off from their dream job. They then realized that there was nothing left for them.
But if someone were to lend out a helping hand this individual will understand that this person is being friendly and the friendship could last for a lifetime. Another example would be that a child has recently changed schools and is looking for some friends. If he/she were to be a rude person then nobody would bother to get to know him. But if he/she was kind to all around him/her then people would immediately want to be his/her friend. Being kind in life can lead to you having a friend that will support you whenever necessary. Everyone should be kind to everyone around them.
Even if other people are rude and disrespectful, it does not mean that we should sink to their low level. Instead showing kindness to them can change
their attitude. Firstly, being kind to others represents us as a positive person. Secondly, being kind can enlighten somebody’s day. Lastly, being kind to others creates friendships. We should always remember that kindness is an act of compassion as well as a gift and that we should provide this gift to everyone. In fact, this gift could be what it takes to change the other person’s attitude.
