Essays About Movies
Movie essays are by far the most interesting to read and write. Part of the reason is that most movie essays are based on a movie you like or popular movies. Some dwell on autobiographies by famous people that can be used as a case study. Movie essay examples can feature different topics that the writer should address from the movie. Movie essays examples can include why a particular movie is your favorite, what lessons do you learn from a certain movie, and other trains of thought.
College essays about movies will mainly dwell on notable movies throughout the century that has had a huge impact on their audience, either positively or negatively. Movies have a significant influence on society as they can be used to ridicule, criticize, or educate the masses on a specific subject. The movie franchise is quite huge and has a lot of influence in the industry, thus movie essays that talk about how to produce a good quality movie and how to go about the entire movie-making process prove advantageous.
My favorite film from our Italian film Studies class is directed by Tornatore. It contains various interconnected themes and images. One of the notable themes is the re-established importance of the bell. Whenever a character is upset or angry, a bell rings in the movie. This is the first time Godzilla has been brought to out screens without a hoard of Japanese people running around like lunatics and it’s, well, let’s say it takes a different approach to the rest. The most crucial aspect of the film’s impact on its audience is the twist in the 6th Sense’s ending, revealing that Malcolm is one of the ghosts Cole sees. Although this revelation should occur at the end, subtle hints of Malcolm’s death should be sprinkled throughout the movie. Many intriguing methods can be employed to […]
LA Confidential (1997) is a film set in the 1950s, in the suburb of Hollywood and is focused around a particular police station. All these aspects of the film have attached connotations and signifiers. Upon reviewing our movie, certain implications could be inferred from it. From the opening scene, it is evident that our film was made on a low budget. The quality of the shot is noticeably different, as high budget productions utilize advanced camera technology resulting in clearer and sharper visuals. Additionally, lighting plays a crucial role […]

Steven Soderbergh’s Traffic adds a unique perspective to the argument that popular film or broadcast fiction serves to comfort audiences and reinforce their beliefs and values. The talented cast of stars of the time in both of these films are what made them stand out and is also what urged people to see them in theatres. From George Clooney’s portrayal in the recent remake of this classic you can see he took some of Sinatra’s acting style in playing Danny Ocean. […]
