Effects of Physical Exercise on Cancer

According to the research conducted by international agency, obesity and sedentary lifestyles are the most common causes of cancer today.

However, with improvement on detection and cancer treatment, patients are now assured of long lifespan. Significantly, physical exercise is the most cancer preventative strategy because it adds into the advantage controlling other cancer types (Adham et al, 185). Therefore, the international agency for research on cancer recommends physical exercise to be the best preventative method in order to evade high costs on treatment. According to Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (P.25), American Cancer Society and other cancer groups have finally proved that regular physical exercise is the best preventative measure of effects and symptoms of cancer on victims and non victims respectively.

Benefits of physical exercise on cancer

on cancer survivors are; flexibility, physical well being, self esteem, functional capacity and muscular strength (Lee, et al P.224). Additionally, physical exercise is the recommended preventive measure of depression, nausea and diarrhea on cancer victims.

Also, cancer patients with or without the disease should undergo a six-week exercise intervention because reduces symptoms and side effects of those that are undergoing chemotherapy (Ballard-Barbash, et al P.880).

Marketing services to cancer survivors

Cancer survivors should exercise aerobically for 20-26 minutes. This is the recommended duration to effect cancer prevention through physical exercise. My services on cancer clients is basically through creating awareness that cancer is real and I recommend I physical exercise as the best preventive measure.
