Advanced technology has led to numerous Innovations such as social media. We first started using social networking tools such as emails, text messages and phone calls to communicate and exchange information.

However, in recent years of social media, it has progressed to popular networking sites such as Backbone, Instating, Twitter, Linked, Pinsetters and Tumbler. These social platforms allow users to communicate, create, collaborate and share Ideas globally through the World Wide Web with minimal censorship.

Research has shown that "Between February 2005 and August 2006, the use of social networking sites among young adult internet users ages 18-29 Jumped from 9% to 49%" (Brenner, 2013). Social networking tools have indeed changed the way people interact and exchange information.

Social networking tools have changed the way we communicate, as there Is no longer a filter on our Interaction. Back then, we could speak only to the people we knew In person, whereas today, we can communicate with people from all over the world. Additionally, if our friends do not reply our text messages, we could always post a message on their Backbone wall r get their attention by mentioning them on Twitter.

Social networking tools work in many wondrous ways that we can imagine, and though it has changed the way we Interact, I believe it has changed for the better as It Is much more convenient and efficient. Social media is extremely influential as it changes minds, puts ideas into people's heads, which turns their thoughts into actions.

Social media has influenced us because of fame, and the type of fame it brings you. Celebrities and famous floggers that endorse a product or a social network tool will cause a big commotion thus aging that product or application a big hit. The side effect created by the rising users have for their 15 seconds of online fame" (Newman, 2014). The fame that many people thirst for has become a social norm, where the most number of likes and followers would deem you "famous" on social networks. The urge to go further to clout more people continues on.
