ID abilities and limitations of individual suffering from neurological disabilities in primary cognitive areas related to function. Estimates potential to learn, client's level of awareness of his/her condition, and cognitive disabilities

Orientation = place and time Awareness = reason for hospitalization Visual Perception = object ID, figure ground, object constancy Spatial Perception = directions on client's body, spatial relations Praxis = motor imitation, utilization of objects, symbolic actions Visuomotor Construction = copy geometric forms, reproduce 2-D model, peg-board Thinking Operations = categorization, pictorial sequences

5 levels of cueing As cueing involvement goes up, level of assist goes up

18 to 69 year olds Can be used with individual suspected of having cognitive deficits Designed and tested for clients with acquired brain injury (ie stroke, progressive neurological conditions, dementia)
