Differences and Similarities Between The Pilgrims & Spaniards In both stories Of Plymouth Plantation and La Relacion the Spaniards and the Pilgrims both shared some interesting differences and similarities. In the story of Plymouth Plantation the pilgrims saw the Indians as savages. In the story La Relacion the Spaniards were forced to become medicine men.
And they also saw the Indians as savages. Although the Pilgrims and Spaniards had differences they were more alike.Some similarities between the Spaniards and Pilgrims were that they both got along with the Indians. They both went with out eating for days and days.
They both lost half they men and some started to die. Both were frightened of the Indians really because they out numbered them by a lot. Another reason they were so afraid of the Indians is becau
...se their body built was a lot bigger, taller, and stronger than most the men. But the Indians welcomed them with food and shelter. And both approached by the Indians.Some differences between the Spaniards and the Pilgrims were that the Spaniards were that they didn’t try to take over the land.
And they were forced to become medicine men without any kind of examination or review of diplomas and if they disobeyed they’d withheld the food until they complied. However, the pilgrims were chastising by the bad conditions of the weather which made them have to harvest. The pilgrims practiced their belief and made up rules benefited them more. And the Spaniards went to find land.The Spaniards and Pilgrims were both mangled at sea before their arrival on the islands where the Indians lived. Thanks to the Indians the Pilgrims
and the Spaniards both pick up on how to support and provide for themselves.
The Indians was a very important part of the Spaniards n Pilgrims lives. Without the Indians to help provide and be there every step of the way they would not have survived. Therefore they played an important role. Both the Spinards and Pilgrims were explorers, voyage to America, and both had strong beliefs.However, I learned that the Spaniards and Pilgrims were vey friendly even though they saw the Indians as savages.
And they weren’t as violent like some people thought. But even though they classified them as savages, they were the only ones they had. Those were two interesting stories that came together as one. I think that if the Indians wasn’t apart of both stories no one would have really survived. So I think both stories showed how easy people have it in these days.
