He has matured from many people. He has matured from Peewee because peewee has taught him comic relief. For example when he tells the camera crew that he got off the wrong stop and he thought he was in St. Louis. The war has made him mature more because all of the things he has gone through changes him. When he is in the spider hole with Peewee, that was a scary experience for Perry and Peewee. Jenkins had helped him mature because when he dies Perry realizes that death is worse than he thinks.
