Recently, I took on the role of director at Prisoners Helper, an organization.

With the constant evolution of the world and emergence of new technology every day, it is only imaginable how challenging it would be to be incarcerated for twenty years and reintegrate into society.

expansion may be overwhelming for those trying to stay updated. Luckily, there are classes available to help newcomers adapt to these technological advancements. Mastering the use of new technologies can be particularly challenging for individuals who have spent five or more years in prison.

Understanding and navigating devices or technologies that can change, such as cell phones, computers, televisions, and cars, will require assistance. It can be overwhelming for individuals to acquire a new phone and learn its features. This feeling is even more intense if they haven't had exposure to such technology for 15 years and must independently catch up with all the advancements. Moreover, we will offer techniques to help individuals cope with everyday stresses they have been isolated from during their incarceration. Mastering these stress coping techniques is vital for them to resist temptations.

There will be various temptations that individuals will encounter, and how they handle these temptations will determine the outcome. Many repeat offenders end up back in the prison system because they cannot cope with overwhelming stress and turn to crime, which is their familiar environment. If we can prevent this from happening, then the system will be effective.

Mission Statement: Our objective is to offer support and lend a helping hand to individuals who have completed their prison sentences and are ready to reintegrate into society. We are dedicated to assisting them in adapting to everyday life, including tasks such as cooking, cleaning, parenting, budgeting, obtaining an education, and finding employment. We will guide them in recognizing temptations and teach them how to avoid them. Many individuals who have spent twenty years of their lives in incarceration lack fundamental communication and

coping skills; henceforth, we will aid them in acquiring these skills so that they can identify temptations independently.

We offer aid to individuals of all races, colors, religions, and genders. Whether it is their initial or subsequent release from prison, we are devoted to aiding those who are willing and prepared to accept our help. Our mission statement explicitly states the services we provide and our unwavering dedication to never turning away anyone seeking assistance. Our goal is to support all individuals in reintegrating into society without facing further punishment for their past offenses. It is crucial for them to recognize that they have served their sentence and fulfilled their societal obligations.

By placing non-violent inmates on probation after serving a certain percentage of their time and sending them to a program like Prisoners Helpers, costs can be reduced during times when every penny matters.
