Moving started in the phase of walking to one location to the next. The Development of canals connected areas of the regions to profit on one another like the development of Erie Canal and St. Lawrence Seaway. Railroads created the development of National unity in Canada and the United States. Finally the development of the Highway system made it easier to travel as a whole.
