A family is more of a social organization or an institution. This is because it is inclusive of all practices as well as beliefs of a family and all a family is comprised of in a normal society. It also includes all the connections with other families as well as other social institutions. Family theory deals with the link between other social institutions and the family at large, families’ comparisons in different societies and culture (Strong 48). It contains of exchange frameworks where a person weighs costs as well as associated with behavioral choices.
The character is a real person and he is actually motivated by self-interest. Ian example is a family that comprised of two brothers, Esau and Jacob in the bible. Their father asked Esau to go to the forest, hunt and get a good
...catch for him. Jacob; his brother heard the conversation and disguised himself by putting a hairy skin to confuse his father (Strong 84). His father blessed him instead of his brother Esau. This is a good of how Jacob, driven by the reward of what he did took blessings intended to be his brothers and benefitted for his lifetime.
Another theory is conflict theory .This is a theory which views the society as an institution full of inequality. This generates conflict and social change. It focuses on causes as well as consequences of conflicts between classes. It is emphatic on the fact that society has been structured to benefit few people at a majority’s expense (Strong 38). A good example f4om the bible is the story of Solomon, the wise king. He is known to have made a wise judgmen
on a case where two women were having a fight on the right of the baby. One of the women wanted the child to be cut into two for them to be equal. Her intention was that the other women not to have the child in case the king did not approve e her as the rightful owner. The other one decided that her foe to have it instead of the baby being killed. Finally, the later party got the child as she was the rightful owner of it. This is an example of a conflict where none of the affected is ready to lose.
