Having spent my childhood days with my grandparents, I would see the difficulties they went through to get medical attention. They used to take me with them when they went to visit the doctor in town. They spent long hours on the road before they got there. It even got worse on our way back home since they were already worn out and sickly. I had nothing to do by then since I was too young to help them in any way. As the years passed on, I began to realize that my grandparents were not entirely sure themselves as to what they were taking or what it was used for. al attention since the medication given to them did not seem to work well with their metabolism. It was becoming useless to drive all the way from home to town to get medication that was not effective for them and they knew less about.

However, when we picked up the medication from the pharmacy it was Dr. Arnold, the pharmacist, who would take the time to explain to them (and me) how this medication works and how it might interact with their other prescriptions they were taking. These visits to the pharmacy are what essentially sparked my interest in pursuing a healthcare profession and eventually seeking out a pharmacy job during my sophomore year of undergraduate study at the University of Nevada Reno. of life; from the young generation to the older people. My experience at the pharmacy was invaluable. I quickly realized that pharmacy was indeed the profession for me. I was fortunate enough to have very knowledgeable and professional pharmacists, Dr. Limon, who would field my numerous questions. Needless to say, my curiosity as a child has stayed with me into young adulthood.

This experience has ever since rejuvenated a strong passion in me for working with the underserved. My in-depth knowledge in science and yearn to learn more has fueled my desire to help the less knowledgeable and to help in describing to them how they were supposed to take their prescribed drugs. I as well answered their numerous questions they had to ask. I also helped in keeping a record of those who visited the facility not forgetting to remind the older people when they were supposed to visit the medical facility next. Since I have always been curious and have always wanted to come up with different solutions to diseases or advance the already-existing ones in an aim to help others, admission to the university was a pathway to achieving my dream.

My exposure will be the most critical aspect in my career development. Being together with patients have cultivated a long-term enjoyment and satisfaction in me. The experience has been invaluable. I have been with patients and friends during trying moments when they had been suffering from various conditions, and I have always wanted to understand and treat all these kinds of diseases. I have as well been able to restore hope in many who seemed to have lost hope in life. I want

to be a source of knowledge for my community when it comes to medications, since I have now learnt from Dr. Arnold and Dr. Limon help, that pharmacists are far more readily available than doctors and build close relations with patients and this will enable me to work confidently towards carrying out successful patient prognostics and be of more value to the society.

Having decided to specialize in this critical area, I understand the seriousness since I will be dealing with human life. It will, therefore, be my duty to make informed decisions that are well-researched and of value to the patients. My exposure will be the most critical aspect in my career development. relations with my patients than doctors and this will enable me to work confidently towards carrying out successful patient prognostics and be of more value to the society. For me, having been able to pursue a career to become a pharmacist is like a dream come true to me and a chance to give back to my local community.
