There has been a major link between the social class and education, with the sociologists measuring the effects of a single element with the other. By maintaining the effective relationship between the two, there has been different views and perspectives which always take the center stage of the concern of social class and education. The concern of the matters of schooling have both effect on the education and the source of income because of most of the white collar jobs definitely require high level of education. The jobs which have the less pay or little prestige require low levels of education. Many people consider the matters of schooling as of great important to each individual success and many of the students are taken differently in their fundamental ways of schooling. Many researches shows that when the social class is high the level of educat
...ional achievement is also high.
This research paper gives analysis of the relationship between the social class and education giving the social views and the perspectives which should be taken into account.
In many societies people status tend to differ while they tend to interact with those who share common historical education background, occupations or incomes. When the people do interact despite their differences in their classes their relationship seems to be frantic with tension and misunderstanding (Kraus, 2014). Many socialists argue on the belief that the differences in the attainment of education may be socially made in a classroom set up (‘‘Class and the American Dream’’, 2005). In the united states, the purposes of education is believed to have an affluent effect on the society and the advance of equity in education have bee
in some communities being made as busing in order to receive the students in a major global mix (‘‘Graphic: How Class Works - New York Times’’, 2016).
The class based on effect of the differences in economic and social effects have remained a major taskforce in the American society with life playing a great role over many years (Lareau, 1987). In the industrial set up, the higher education is the main path to achievement of any occupation and for many cases, the parents adopt the issue of sending their children to school with the main factor being on the money.
The children who come from a high income class tend be more successful in their education while the children classes tend to attend the schools but may not be successful (‘‘Class Matters’’, 2005). The children from the low class income may not even attend the schools thus their success is limited. The children from the middle class must balance between the job and education while their counterparts in the high levels are not affected by this balance (Jr, 2016). When a child from the low income class completes their education, the parents requires them to go for jobs since they require a returned income from them. The factor of the formal education gives the young in the society a cultural assumptions which approves the performance roles contributing to the development of a successful life in the society (‘‘Class and the American Dream’’, 2005). In many cases, the learning institutions make evaluations of the students in terms of academic performance rather than the social background.
There has been a no sure way to mitigate the multifaceted effect on the
class with a stronger affirmative action on the programs which tend to bring the low income students to the colleges and to be stronger on the anti-poverty education programs. The rise of families up and down the economic classes is promise lying on the lives of many people (Rist, 1970).
To sum up, the relation between the social class and education have had indefinite correlation which has been identified in many researches and theories. The goals have been in a pure merited society which has the class finally fading from the importance.
