Abortion refers to the process of the termination of pregnancy or the expulsion of a fetus or an embryo that is not going to survive possibly. The issue of abortion is quite challenging to several individuals since the topic is exceedingly controversial. Many people fear that the idea of abortion involves the murder of an embryo may be in the favor of the mother. Pro-life advocates argue that life in such a condition may be a dominant conception that is innocent and also deserves a chance for survival. God has the final choice to choose the time of life and death for the embryo. The most important point to note about the pro-choice protesters is their support for the right of privacy. The pro-choice believers note that the women have the choice to do what please their bodies (Cockrill & Tracy 23). For instance, a woman might be raped by a man and get pregnant. She may, therefore, decide to abort the embryo since the whole idea of raising and bringing up th

A woman may sometimes be harassed as a result of abortion which is a choice she makes for her body (Agullo & Maribel 67). Pro-life supports this. Such actions may at times lead to harassment which can be seen as a part of anti-abortion forcefulness. The pro-life believers may at times threaten, stalk or even kill a woman who has decided to have an abortion or even the doctor who provides the action. The pro-life supporters also have the idea that every child has the right to live despite the ability of the mother to be financially stable to support the child entirely. The birth of this child can lead to its struggle on the daily basis together with their mother. The children could at times feel underprivileged and can even die as a result of the circumstances of forced life. The pro-life defenders, however, consider this to be necessary.
On the other hand, the pro-choice believes that if a girl who is sixteen years old tends to lose her virginity can, unfortunately, get pregnant since she was not fully aware of her concerns about her actions. The support of the girl keeping the baby can eventually result to her being chased away out of her home. The work may lead to her being unable to support the child financially. It can also occur in the young girl losing her education (Winikoff & Beverly 98). By undertaking abortion, the girl will not have to deal with
all these conditions. She will only have to compact with the aspect of emotions of having decided to murder the fetus. The pro-choice supporters, therefore, believe that the idea could help her learn for her unfortunate mistake and that the decision was purely under her wish for her body. The final result that occurs may be a life experience that would lead to some social maturity and evolution and not a repression state.
Most people eventually support the pro-life action as a result of their religion. It is easy to note that around 35% OF Catholic women are most likely to undertake an abortion that the new women though they are also likely to abort as well. In the Christian religion, abortion can be considered as a manslaughter as declared by Pope Sixtus V. the debate became heated during the 19th century. The pro-life followers, therefore, find all the circumstances where abortion is advocated. For instance, in a critical situation where one might experience this is where bearing a kid and also giving birth would, unfortunately, kill the mother as a result of her health circumstances or the complications of her womb where the fetus would have.
It is therefore believed that the hazards of death that are related to childbirth are ten times higher than that of the incidences of abortion. The situation also proves that life can be too situational to say that abortion should be illegal or not (Cockrill & Tracy 87). The pro-choice supporters also argue that abortion is a necessary step because they do not consider the fetus to be a living human being. On the other hand, the pro-life believers support
the idea that killing a fetus is the same as killing a living person. The pro-choice support advocates that the life of a person begins at birth, and therefore killing a fetus is not the same as killing a person. It is just the same as killing a part of an individual.
The pro-choice evidence of abortion also states that abortion is a fundamental idea if the mother is not willing or able to care for the baby. Sometimes a mother may be pregnant before she had plans for the child. When the child is conceived especially when the mother is not financially and emotionally stable, then it is necessary to undertake an abortion. If this is the case, then abortion can better solve the issue and therefore a woman does not have problems to care for a baby (Agullo & Maribel 45). On the other hand, the pro-life supporters believe that there are always better solutions to care for the baby rather than abortion. For example, adoption would be an answer to a child that will help provide an alternative to the abortion issue. Adoption contributes to support the baby with a loving home that is hopefully warm. Many people in the world today are willing to take up children especially those who are not able to give birth to children. Pro-life supporters, therefore, are opposed to any killing by trying to offer alternative support by finding a home for the baby instead of terminating its life. Most of the pro-life supporters also feel that it is the will of a person to have sex, and therefore it is the right of a person to
face the consequences. The pro-life supporters argue that terminating the life of a fetus is playing with God since is God did not want the baby then He would want the woman to miscarry.
Today the issue of abortion is growing to bring out new aspects of the procedure of pregnancy termination. For instance, there is the early termination and partial abortion and abortion in the third trimester. Most of the abortion today is doctor assisted abortion that occurs in hospitals. Medical reasons can also result in an abortion. The Abortion Act in the Constitution on Act 1967 states that if a pregnancy has nor surpassed its 24th week, then an abortion can be carried out. Such incidences occur when the continuing pregnancy is possibly going to involve more risk to the life of a woman than ending the pregnancy (Winikoff & Beverly 67). Secondly, it is necessary to abort if pushing on with the pregnancy will involve more risk of injury to the physical and mental health of a woman than by ending the pregnancy.
Thirdly, if proceeding with the pregnancy will mean more risk to the mental health or even the physical health of any of the woman's existing the children. And finally, if there is a possible risk that the baby going to be born will have a severe mental or physical disability. The act also emphasizes on the issue that two or more medical practitioners must always agree on the issues as mentioned above. The agreement helps to give the doctor permission to flexibility in referring a woman for abortion and also support their request to continue with abortion. Medical abortion in some
cases contributes to reducing the incidences of deaths of death especially from the complication such as perforation of the uterus that can lead to hysterectomy. However, unsafe methods of abortion can result in the injury of a woman or even kill the lady. It is, therefore, necessary to seek for skilled abortion from the health providers especially in areas where abortion is still illegal. Around fourteen thousand women always get abortion following rape and incest cases that are estimated that around forty-three percent of women in the whole world will get an abortion by the time they get 50 years of age. It can be estimated that around 45 million abortions take place every year. If these abortions had however not happened with the current population issue in the globe, then the population would be excitingly high. The world, however, has few resources that are exhausting on a daily basis. Abortion can, therefore, be seen to be necessary to the planet. The pro-life supporters cannot see this reasoning or situation being beneficial from abortion. The fans ignore this reason why most women find it necessary to abort. There is a need to remain abortion legal even though it appears to be immoral. Abortion can be a good situation for the individuals that need to make critical decisions. The pro-choice protects and defends these people. It is the life of a woman that is likely to be affected by abortion and not anybody else life. The world today is based on countries that are under freedom. Women should always continue to make a freed of choice for their life's.
