The ability of an individual to attain coping and forgiveness of past ordeals is the most challenging act which many people face in their day to day life. It entails achieving individual or group peace and happiness. Forgiveness can be seen as the decisive choice to overcome or let go the resentment, thoughts, and anger generated as a result of actual or perceived calamity, hurt or wrongdoing against the individual.

Psychological coping, on the other hand, is noted as the behavioral and cognitive efforts made by a person from seeking a remedy for dealing with stressful ordeals.
