What is Simple Present Tense?
Simple present tense is used to describe regular, habitual actions and to talk about general facts. It is the most basic form of verb tense in English grammar.To use the simple present tense, you must conjugate a verb by adding an ‘-s’ or ‘-es’ to the end for he/she/it forms. For example, She writes would become She writes. This means that she is writing something at this very moment or has a habit of writing often. Additionally, you can use simple present tense to talk about general facts such as The sun rises in the east. It expresses an action that occurs regularly or all of the time and does not indicate when it started or stopped.
