What is Irish?
The Irish culture is one that has long been admired and respected around the world. It is a culture of strong family ties, proud traditions, and a deep connection with nature. The Irish are known for their hospitality, sense of humor, and love of music and dance. They also have a strong spiritual belief system that influences their daily lives.Irish families are often very close-knit, with extended family members living together in one home or nearby each other. Family gatherings for holidays or special occasions such as birthdays are common and the traditional Irish meal is usually shared by all attending. Music and dancing at these gatherings are also important parts of the festivities.The Irish language is still spoken in some parts of the country today, although it has been mostly replaced by English over time. Gaelic football and hurling remain popular sports throughout Ireland as well as other traditional activities such as storytelling and folk music performances at pubs or festivals during the summertime. Nature plays an important role in the lives of many Irish people; they enjoy outdoor activities like hiking or fishing in their spare time to relax away from city life. Religion also plays a role in many aspects of life in Ireland; Catholicism remains the predominant religion but there are Protestant denominations practiced throughout much of Ireland too. The belief system amongst many involves a respect for God’s presence within nature along with an appreciation for family values and traditions passed down through generations from both sides of their ancestry Celtic/Gaelic heritage from pre-Christian times as well as Christian influences more recently adopted into this culture since colonisation began centuries ago. Overall, being part of an Irish community can bring about feelings of pride due to its rich history full with cultural accomplishments worth celebrating; from literature to art to music all intertwined within this dynamic society that continues to grow today.
