What is Home?

Home sweet home. This is a phrase that we all know and understand, but what does it really mean? Home sweet home means something different to everyone, but overall it conveys the idea of a place where you feel safe and secure. A place where you can be yourself, have your own space and enjoy the company of family and friends. It’s the one place on Earth that no matter how many miles away from you may be, it will always bring comfort to your heart.For me personally, home sweet home is my childhood bedroom in my parent’s house which I still visit periodically. When I enter this room a sense of nostalgia washes over me as I’m reminded of happy memories made here as well as some not so good ones too. The walls are adorned with posters from my favorite bands growing up like NSYNC and Backstreet Boys an ironic reminder that time moves quickly. But despite the ever changing times entering this special room brings back such warm feelings within me because even though things change outside these four walls remain constant; reminding me who I am and where I come from. No matter who you are or what kind of living situation you have there should always be a space for us to call our own a space we can make into whatever we want where our thoughts, dreams, fears & desires reside without judgement or criticism from others this is HOME SWEET HOME.
