What is Eighteenth Century?
The eighteenth century was a period of significant changes and developments in the history of the world. It saw the emergence of new nations, the Industrial Revolution, and increasing globalization. It also saw a period of Enlightenment thought and scientific discovery that shaped our modern world.During this time, political revolutions occurred throughout Europe, leading to the formation of nation-states such as France and America. In America, this included the American Revolution which granted freedom from British rule for many colonized people in North America. This event would lead to a new form of government based on democratic principles that would become an example for other nations around the world. In France, aristocratic power was replaced with a new system called the Reign of Terror which sought to eliminate anyone deemed counterrevolutionary or an enemy to progress. The eighteenth century also marked a period in which advancements made during the Scientific Revolution were applied to create technological breakthroughs such as steam engines and automobiles that powered industrialization across Europe and North America. This allowed for an increase in production capacity that provided goods at lower prices while also creating jobs for laborers who had previously been unable to access employment opportunities due to poverty or lack of education. The industrial revolution helped bring about higher standards of living for many individuals but it also created environmental pollution along with exploitative labor practices that still persist today in some parts of the world. The Age of Enlightenment was another important development during this time period as philosophers began to challenge traditional religious beliefs by exploring ideas related to science, politics, economics, social justice among others topics related to human progress. These thinkers proposed new approaches based on reason rather than faith and their ideas eventually led to widespread reforms such as greater rights for women and slaves as well as increased access to education for all classes regardless race or gender identity In conclusion it can be seen that during this time period there were many important developments both politically ,scientifically ,economically ,and socially. These changes formed foundations upon which much more change would occur across different aspects in society. The 18th century was therefore a crucial point in history where many shifts occurred globally .
