No, they should use Proactiv+ once a day at night for a week, just like a new guest. The system is new and delivers more medicine into their skin to treat their breakouts and prevent them, so they need to allow time for their skin to become accustomed to the medicine.

Yes, the products can be used together.

What should you do if the guest comes up and asks for a cleanser?

Review their program to find out what they use and how it is working. Make sure they remove makeup before cleansing, and determine what the reason is they run out of cleanser or exfoliator first.

Who should use X Out?

You should only recommend X Out after you demonstrate Proactiv+ to a guest and they are not going to buy from you because they say there are too many steps. Then you should show them X Out.

Should I suggest X Out to all teen guests?

No. Proactiv+ is a more complete system that will treat and prevent blemishes while improving the health and appearance of skin. If the guest wants X Out, you should show it to them, but try and persuade them to use Proactiv+ or to start with X Out and eventually transition to Proactiv+.

How do I know if a guest has oily, dry or combination skin?

Ask them where they notice oiliness or dryness in their skin. An oily T-Zone with dry or normal skin around the rest of the face is Combination.

Does a guest with oily skin need a moisturizer?

Yes. An oil free moisturizer will help to reduce oil production over time. We produce oil because our skin is dry and trying to hydrate itself.
