question
Choose a disease of the bone marrow. Explain what happens to the immune system when you suffer from this condition. Also describe how it would affect another system in the body.
answer
The disease I choose of the bone marrow would be lymphoma. Lymphoma is a disease that if it spreads to to the bone marrow, it can affect the production of blood cells. This disease is a cancer of the lymph nodes. The immune system will be affected when the lymph nodes get swollen. This meaning, the lymph nodes cannot clean and filter the lymph. This disease could also affect the lymphatic system. As the affected lymph nodes travel through the body of lymphocytes it can spread to every lymph node there is.
