Living with a roommate can be an unpleasant experience due to each individual's distinct habits and household preferences. Adapting to these differences and understanding everyone's disposition can present challenges. Personally, I have found it challenging to cohabit with others as they frequently fail to tidy up after themselves, exhibit a lack of consideration for my emotions, and disregard my personal possessions. I have classified the roommates I have lived with into three categories: the untidy, the disrespectful, and the hazardous. The initial type I encountered was the most unclean one I had ever shared living space with.

, including her room where I even had to empty the trash can. Initially, when we became roommates, we agreed to each wash our own dishes. However, this agreement only lasted for three days as she not only left dirty dishes in the sink but also scattered them throughout the house. Despite my attempts to resist, I eventually gave in and cleaned up all the dishes when I noticed more bugs infesting the house. I endured this living situation for approximately three months before moving in with another roommate.

The person I lived with was disrespectful. They would come home late at night, around 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning. It wouldn't bother me if I didn't have to wake up early for work. Additionally, they gave their boyfriend a key to the house, so he and his friends would come over regardless of the time or if

the house was occupied. Despite this, I tolerated the noise and discomfort until something of mine went missing. When I asked my roommate if she had seen it, she shrugged and said that someone had come over and taken it.

The stranger not only stole my I-pod but also annoyed me greatly, causing me to end up with a dangerous third roommate. This person was a heavy smoker who would fill the air with secondhand smoke and often fall asleep while smoking. I would frequently have to wake him up with a cigarette still in his mouth. In addition, he had a habit of scattering objects that could cause tripping hazards on the floor, as if intentionally setting them up for accidents. I had never experienced so many "accidents" in such a short period of time before.

Living with roommates has been challenging for me, and I stopped searching for them after a terrible encounter with one individual. Despite knowing that there are good people to live with, I have not had luck in finding them. However, this experience has taught me valuable lessons about my tolerance levels and preferences. It has also made me more aware of my emotions and what I need in order to be satisfied with my living situation. These experiences have highlighted the importance of a healthy environment to me, which includes having a clean, respectable, and safe living space.
