Dear Judge,

I am writing to assert my innocence and present a comprehensive account of the evening when Porphyria was killed. The purpose of this letter is to convince you of my innocence as you read through it.

Even though time has passed, I still vividly remember killing Porphyria. Her beautiful blonde hair and flawless white shoulders are permanently etched in my memory. The deep absence of her presence often makes me contemplate ending my own life so that I can be reunited with Porphyria forever.

Today, my mother visited me and reassured me, saying, "one day, God will grant you forgiveness." I found myself questioning why I would even need forgiveness. Have I committed any wrongdoing? These questions plagued my mind relentlessly until I reached the firm conclusion that I am not convinced of any guilt. I firmly believe that

what I did for Porphyria was not an act of murder, but rather fulfilling our mutual desires. I harbor no guilt and take pride in bestowing upon Porphyria everlasting beauty and love.

Porphyria was constantly by my side, from the time I arose until the time I retired. Whether I was laughing or experiencing life, she remained a steadfast companion. Her eyes looked upon me from above, and her presence brought comfort to my sleeping quarters. Porphyria provided me with stability and tranquility. That evening, our love for one another reached profound depths that will endure eternally.

Porphyria and I were destined to be together, perfectly matched. She is exclusively mine; the thought of any other man having the honor of laying hands on her is unimaginable. No other men deserve her elegance.

the "crime," but I must emphasize that I am not a murderer. I maintain that my behavior was rational, thus rendering the alleged offense devoid of criminality. I assert to you, Your Honor, that Porphyria embodies everlasting beauty, eternal slumber, and undying love, beyond the reach of any form of deprivation.

On that cold night, the rain came earlier than anticipated, accompanied by a forceful wind that tore down the tops of the elm trees and disturbed the lake. As I observed the rain and listened to the wind's sound, my heart broke. I sat there, helpless and waiting for Porphyria. My expectations of seeing her faded slowly along with the gloomy wind. Just as I had lost all hope, Porphyria arrived, bringing rain and wind as she gracefully entered my modest cottage. Her presence filled the cottage with warmth and love. She ignited a fire in my fireplace, bringing forth a passionate love.

Despite the bad weather, Porphyria chose to stay with me instead of being with her educated and arrogant friends. This has made my life incredibly better as I am no longer lonely. Finally, she willingly came to be by my side.

Porphyria undressed, taking off her cloak, shawl, gloves, and hat. Every garment snugly fit her form. As her hair cascaded to one side, she stood there exuding a sense of confident grace.

Porphyria's arrival by my side astounded me. Gently, she whispered my name, finally uniting us after I had anxiously awaited her in seclusion at my cottage. As she settled beside me, I embraced her and laid my head on her shoulder. It was there that she disclosed her enduring affection for

me, a concealed secret held throughout the years. Nevertheless, pride hindered her from fully surrendering to our relationship. Porphyria hesitated due to the fear of tarnishing her reputation among high society if we were spotted together. However, love ultimately triumphed over her pride as she even chose to forgo a lavish evening party just to be with me.

That evening, Porphyria's adoration for me became evident. She desired me to be her sole lover for eternity. I yearned to preserve this precious moment indefinitely. With sincere and pure intentions, Porphyria dedicated herself to me alone.

In a gentle act, I delicately encircled Porphyria's exquisite hair around her slender neck, tightening my hold and bringing an end to her existence. Astonishingly, she experienced no agony, for this was what she longed for - liberation from anguish and the guarantee of our love lasting eternally.

Despite being labeled a "murderer," I categorically reject this accusation and deny it outright. The prospect of incarceration does not disturb me since I firmly believe that Porphyria's demise was necessary for our love to flourish and fulfill her longings. I bear no guilt or remorse for my deeds, and even God did not pass judgement on me. Consequently, there is no reason for concern as there are no consequences awaiting me.
