It is clear that during this transformative and progressive era, the nation needs a leader who defies traditional expectations set by previous white and elderly presidents.
Obama is a representation of the evolving demographics in America and should be chosen as the next president. The American population now embodies diversity and multiculturalism, which aligns with the nation's vision
...of being a melting pot of cultures. Obama, being biracial himself with a non-American black father and white mother, exemplifies this diversity. His wife is African American, further emphasizing their understanding of various cultural viewpoints within America. Furthermore, his youthfulness and having two young daughters drive him to prioritize the future of the country rather than solely focusing on current issues.
Although McCain has a caring nature, he lacks understanding and connection with various subgroups in the country. His advanced age reduces his concern for the future compared to someone whose decisions will directly impact their children's prospects. Conversely, Obama distinguishes himself with a unique approach to foreign policy that highlights likability, grace, and tact in cultivating relationships with global leaders. While McCain deserves respect for his military service and time as a former POW, it
raises inquiries about whether he believes everyone should possess a similar military background.
The author believes that war is a necessary component of a progressive world. Obama supports the military but does not advocate using it to intimidate and frighten other countries. Undoubtedly, Obama is the ideal candidate for president due to his stance on various issues and his alignment with the changing American society. While McCain represents the current state of affairs and connects the nation with its past, he is not an evil person. On the other hand, Obama will unite both present and future.
