Endangered animals are those species that are at risk of extinction due to human activities, natural disasters or a combination of both. These animals require immediate attention and conservation efforts in order to prevent their endangerment from becoming permanent. Some of the most critically endangered animals include tigers, pandas, rhinoceroses, gorillas, cheetahs and polar bears. The loss of these species would be devastating not only for the environment but also for humanity as they are integral parts of our planet’s fragile ecosystem.The causes leading to animal endangerment vary greatly; however, the primary cause is human activity such as habitat destruction, poaching and illegal hunting. When habitats are destroyed by deforestation or urbanization it results in reduced food sources and shelter essential for survival. This disruption can also lead to increased predation on certain species resulting in a decrease in population numbers over time. As well, many endangered animals suffer from illegal hunting practices driven by profit motives or cultural traditions which put them at further risk due to unsustainable harvesting techniques. Climate change has also been identified as an emerging threat with some species having difficulty adapting quickly enough to survive extreme changes within their native habitats. In order to save endangered species from extinction it is necessary for governments around the world need to take action through legislation that protects wildlife ecosystems and creates stricter laws on poaching and trade of endangered wildlife products across borders . Additionally NGOs have used initiatives such as captive breeding programs whereby members of endangered populations can be bred safely away from threats posed by humans until conditions become suitable for reintroduction into wild areas where appropriate protection measures have been taken . Although this involves costs associated with transportations , housing etc., it is an effective way ensure survival while protecting against potential genetic bottlenecks caused by small isolated populations To conclude , preserving threatened fauna should be seen as a global priority if we want future generations to experience all forms of life our planet has so generously provided us with . Fortunately there is still time left if appropriate action is taken soon enough.
