The abuse of drugs in Montrose continues to cause challenges for both law enforcement officers and parents living in the Montrose region. A large number of youths, especially those aged between the ages of 12 and 35 are arrested for the abuse of marijuana drug. Despite set efforts, which include public campaigns and counseling programs to reduce and eventually stop the abuse of drugs in the region, the number of arrests relating to drug abuse continues to rise. Drug abuse in Montrose County has a negative impact on the health of the youth and the economy of the region.
