As the Enlightenment Ideas spread, many composers and musicians were inspired to create new forms of music. Art also transitioned from Baroque to Rococo style. From this a new musical form called "classical" came about and also ballets and operas.

Baroque art was huge, colorful, and exciting.They glorified historic battles or the lives of saints. Rococo art was personal, elegant, light, and charming. Showed noble subjects in rural setttings, surrounded by happy servants and pets .
