is in power or it involves government intervention. We believe that individuals can get along and go along even if they have different individual policies so long as they have the same goal objectives.

The notion of individualism is deeply rooted in the United States of America. We strongly believe that individual freedom comes first before any other allegiance to authority. The individual is also believed to come before any other group or social class.

The founding fathers of the United States of America put in place numerous personal freedoms and rights in various key American documents. At one point, an American philosopher, Ralph Waldo, said that the personal freedom and the right of expression of an individual should not be deferred in a quest to impress and conform to the principle of any collection, be it family, community, church or party (Michael 45). These events, however, raised numerous attentions from various global parties who concluded that individualism had become the new word used to describe democracy in the United States of America.

The constitution of America allows the individual to express his opinion freely about the government, ideas and many other issues of national debate. The individual being empowered with the freedom of expression and speech means empowering him to speak out of his thought with no discrimination and unfairness at all (John 56). It is believed that the choice of whether what an individual says or does is right or wrong solely depends on the individual himself. Individuals are believed to be the ones to determine their own fates. The things that happen to an individual are solely as a result of his own doing and

not as a result of circumstances that occur externally. To us in America, things are the way they are because we made the choice to make them so.
