question
tell me about yourself #2
answer
i was born in Venezuela where i attended high school. i achieved highest honors there, and as soon as i graduated i came to Chicago to pursue a better education. i attended wright college for about 3 years. there i faced one of the harder times of my life. i consider it to be hard because i knew nobody and i felt rather alone, it was also hard to make friends since everyone was much older than me. after i finished in wright college, i had the opportunity to go to morocco and shadow 2 dentists there, an opportunity which allowed me to see how other parts of the world treat dentists. an eye opening event was how because i had gone in Ramadan, many of the adult patients did not want to have any work done on them. so, it was rather hard on the dentists because without being able to use water, they couldn't perform any procedures on them. after i came back i transferred to UIC. i then started shadowing the dentist that has guided me until today. i then went to Honduras and volunteered there, which was another amazing experience where i was able to not only become a leader, and translator, but i was also able to help people that live in extreme poverty, it was just fantastic. since then i studied for the DAT, took it, and here we are.
