Almost everyone uses technology to communicate. Even schools use technology to communicate with parents and students about grades and upcoming events. This Is great. Technology has also created a society where people are more likely to pick up the remote on turn on the T. V. On a beautiful day then go outside for a stroll. People are more lazy today. Technology is great in many ways, but technology has also a negative impact on our future generation.
I'm not going to bash technology only because I would be a liar if I said technology has done nothing positive for our society. Technology has given us many medical advances that has saved millions of lives. Modes of transportation such as airplanes, cars, buses, boats, and trains have made life simpler. Phone calling, text messaging a
...nd video calling have benefited to those who have friends and loved ones around the world communicate. We have come a LONG way folks. A LONG way.
Back when I was younger, I remember spending days outside playing with the neighborhood kids. On rainy or snow days, I stayed indoors and played games my sister and I created with our imaginations. We didn't watch T. V. Much nor did we care for the computer. It saddens me to see the children nowadays. The streets are mostly empty. I don't hear the laughter of children outside anymore. Where are they? Inside on their computers, watching T. V. , or playing video games. Here's an alarming quote I found on psychically. Org. The amplitude of the stimulation that makes games/media exciting provides a heightened degree of sensory input into the nervous system, whic
can shift the threshold for engagement and excitation leaving normal life dull by comparison. "I'm bored" can become the complaint of the child who Is used to this supercharged Input stream. - "The New World Order: have we gone too far with technology l, myself, always try to keep myself entertained by reading books or talking face-to-face with friends. "I'm bored" is a lame excuse for someone who's phone battery died.
A person's emotions can be easily hidden behind a text message, email,or post. "Studies show that only 7% of communication is based on the written or verbal word. A whopping 93% is based on nonverbal body language. Indeed, it's only when we can hear a tone of voice or look into someone's eyes that we're able to know when "I'm fine" doesn't mean thieve fine at all. - Forbes. Com "Is Social Media Sabotaging Real Communication? ". We're trying force relationships with only phrases, abbreviations, and emoticons.
These arena accurate representations of the truth. With a lot of be very awkward. We need to remember how face-to-face conversations can deepen and grow relationships. Society is becoming lazy by trying to make everything easier. In twenty years, I wouldn't be surprised if cars were telling humans how to drive. Maybe one day we can sit around our houses and get fat and let technology do everything for us (Wall- E). Online shopping is a big one. You can buy virtually anything online with a click of a button and have it delivered to your doorstep.
Why leave the house to watch a movie when you can easily click on Nettling? Some people don't even have
to leave their homes to make money. I'm not saying they're bad because there are people who are disabled or sick and need assistance, but the usage of these programs is alarming. Healthy, normal, citizens are too lazy to leave their homes and travel to visit friends and family? What happened to a good ole' road trip? Now "checking in" with loved ones is Just a click away. Technology has a negative impact on our future enervation, and we need to stop this before it gets worse. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends NO media for children under 2 years of age and no more than two hours a day of "high quality content" for children and teens. "( The New World Order: have we gone too far with technology? ). Parents, monitor your children. Force them to go outside and play. Play board games and have family nights. Avoid using technology during these times. Come on, remember your youth and fun you had without all this modern day technology. Share that Joy with your children. You control technology: technology does not control you.
