There was an abundance of natural resources such as coal or copper. Also a large work force due to the flood of immigrants.

I would have to say the invention of telephone by Alexander Graham Bell. We are in the time period very dependent on our phones, it's how we communicate, find things, get to places, and how we manage our daily life. Spend a good amount of time on my phone daily.

Monopolies enables a company to control the sale of the project. For example if there was a hurricane and people were stocking up water and supplies companies decide to raise the price really high to gain profit.

The workers wanted a higher wage and shorter hours. workers wanted better working condition and increase in their wages

working conditions were terrible, workers felt like they needed a voice so people could listen improve these condition.

They formed the International Ladies' Garment Workers Union (ILGWU) which represented the women and men workers in the clothing industry. The women were excluded from the unions that were made so they formed their own. They wanted better wages and benefits.
