Jesuit Core Curriculum—15 courses that all students must take. BC wants you to be well-rounded. The Core Curriculum requires courses not only in literature, science, history, philosophy, social science, and theology, but also writing, mathematics, the arts, and cultural diversity, in addition to specific requirements set by each undergraduate school. Students in arts and sciences must also show proficiency in a modern foreign language or classical language before graduation. Freshmen are required to take a writing workshop in which each student develops a portfolio of personal and academic writing and reads a wide range of texts. Seniors participate in the University Capstone program, a series of seminars aiming to give a "big picture" perspective to the college experience.

Tip O'Neil Library Guide (Kelsey) studies on 5th floor - Can see Logan Yawkey Recreation Center Graham Greene collection 2 campuses: Main and Newton, 1.5 miles away. (Guide said three campuses. Brighton Campus across street.) Main Campus has three sections? Lower (athletics) and Upper (classrooms) Maloney Hall has the Hillside Cafe and BCPD. The dominant architecture of the main campus (known as "the Heights") is Gothic Revival, with modern additions over the past few years, including a new science building. There's lots of grass and trees and a reservoir.

When accepted told whether will have 3 or 4 years of housing. Newton campus dorms one mile away Freshmen are divided between Upper and Newton campus. Housing has two options for freshmen: upper 60% and Newton 40%. The dorms are the same at each location: coed but single sex by floor. Have RD and a peer minister. Newton is self-sufficient. Only for freshmen. App tells you when the shuttle is coming. known for milk shakes. Top 10% of class gets housing all four years. Also, athletes, nursing students and students with medical needs. The rest get three years of housing. 98% come back senior year.

More than 1,000 students participate in study abroad each year. "The Heights," a nickname for the college, refers to its hilltop location and is also the name of the student newspaper.
