According to Mr. Tate, he was brought to the Ewell house by Bob Ewell on the night of November 21st and encountered Mr. there.

Ewell's daughter suffered severe physical abuse and claimed that Tom Robinson had sexually assaulted her, as revealed during questioning by Mr. Tate. Despite this, the injuries were not reviewed by a doctor at the time.

During the trial, Atticus identified that Mayella's right eye was injured, confirming her testimony. Bob Ewell claimed to have heard Mayella screaming and saw Tom Robinson raping her. Ewell attempted to pursue Robinson but was unsuccessful, and he eventually sought help from Mr. Tate. It was discovered during the trial that Ewell was left-handed when he wrote his name at Atticus's request.

wrong. Mayella then requested him to retrieve an item from the top of a wardrobe. As he stood on a chair, she suddenly grabbed his legs from behind causing him to panic and knock over the chair. According to Tom, this was the only furniture that had been disturbed when he left the room. Mayella then hugged and kissed him, confessing that she had never kissed an adult man before and her father's actions towards her did not count. She even asked Tom to kiss her back, but he declined and hurriedly left after hearing Ewell yelling.
