In my eyes, i dont see tom as guilty because he is a honarable nice guy, but mr. gilmer does try to prove tom guilty to the jury because he goades tom into saying he feels sorry for mayella he isn't supposed to feel sorry for her because he's a second class citizen. this might be different because he is not guilty in fact he is telling the truth.
