The Two People That Have Influenced My Life the Most Essay Example
The two people that have influenced my life the most are my parents. They are the ones that get to know us the best for who we really are, from our fortitudes to our imperfections. They have the greatest influence in our lives because they are the people we see the most and have known the longest. They forgo a lot of bliss in order to give their children the best possible. My parents have influenced my life and helped make me what I am today. Respect, Commitment, and moral values are just some of the principles they have implanted in me, as I grew older.
But I still have a long way to go if I want to be as strong as my mother and as wise as my father. I now realize that all their actions in the pas
...t to correct my misbehavior were not pointless, but only to lead me in the right direction. My dad is a man of his word; no one can take that from him. He is a strict and overprotective man. I’ve kicked and fuzzed many nights during my teenage years because he would not allow me to go out with my friends. But he taught me how to be honest, confident and most importantly respectful to others and myself.
He is a humble hardworking man who loves his family unconditionally. Education has always been a big deal for him, he has always found fun and exciting ways for me to learn whether it’s studying for a quiz or just simply doing HW. Its so extreme that one day we even went out to buy paint to write on
my back yard floor to play a game he called vocabulary hopscotch. Unquestionably, I am grateful to have my father as my mentor. When I think of my Dad, I just think of unconditional love.
I see it in his big brown eyes when he looks at his family, when he smiles, and when he laughs. They say I am a lot like him, both physically and mentally. Ramon Anthony Gomez is his name, when I was younger my family called me “anthonieta” because of such a resemblance. My father is this tall, Indian colored man, a bit intimidating but when you get to know him, he’s nothing but a sweetheart. Therefore I have always compared my dad to a teddy bear. He may not be a perfect father, but he is the best father of all. Another person to truly influence my life is my mother.
She is determined, strong and filled with joy. She has always been a woman of endless patience, when I was younger I was a total brat! I wanted everything when and how I wanted it …they say I was worst then my sister so I cant imagine what that was like because when I babysit my sister I want to pull my hair out. She has had to deal with two of the biggest procrastinators all her life; my father and I. But she never gave up; attacking till she got what she wanted, she would always say to me “ just get it done before it’s to late”.
I truly admire her for that devotion. She always achieved whatever she proposed to get, and always finished any task she started.
She has taught me all the basic essentials in life such as honesty and integrity. Wendy, my mother is also a women of action she always tells me “Don’t think too much, just do it! ” My mother and I always have heart to heart conversations, she is strict enough to act as my mother but also understanding and laidback to be a best friend.
My grandmother always told me my mom and I have the same exact character, which I’m always very pleased to hear because my mother lives a very comfortable and structured life, which is how I want to live in the future. She has influenced my young life immensely and steered my life in all the right directions. My personality and the way of me being is a clear result of their influences. My parents are both very positive and always looking to learn new things. I wouldn’t trade my parents for the world.
