What is Solid Liquid Gas?
A solid is a state of matter that has a definite shape and volume. It is composed of atoms, molecules or anions held together by strong intermolecular forces. Solids are often hard, rigid and difficult to compress. Examples of solids include ice, metal and wood.A liquid is a state of matter that has no definite shape but has a definite volume. Its particles are free to move around each other but they are still bound together by intermolecular forces. Liquids have lower densities than solids, making them easier to pour out or change shape when force is applied on them. Examples of liquids include water, oil and alcohol.A gas is a state of matter that does not have any definite shape or volume; it takes up the entire space in which it exists. Gas particles are very far apart from one another and move freely at high speeds in random directions due to their low density. This makes them highly compressible and expandable as well as easy to mix with other gases or liquids. Examples of gases include air, hydrogen and helium. The distinct properties associated with the different states of matter arise from the differences in their structures; solids have tightly packed particles (atoms/molecules/ions) while liquids have more loosely bound particles which can move around each other more freely than those in solids; gases have even more loosely bound particles which can move independently at high speeds without any restriction from their neighbors or environment due to their low density compared to either solids or liquids .
