I was still puzzled by my action.I walked into the music room with a guitar and sat in a corner, feeling dumb. I was readyto face the music because of the things I had done, but you walked to me and gently handed meyour ipad, asking me to listen to one particular song; A Thousand Years by Christina Perry.
Ireached out and took your ipad. After plugging the earphones in my ears, I was still wonderingwhy you asked me to listen to it. When my face revealed the understanding of your motive, tearscame

I was guilt-stricken to the marrow.With a smile, you wiped off your tears. Not the same gentle smile but a plastic one. I wouldn’t blame you. The burden, the bleeding heart, the sadness, the disappointment and thebitterness were all concocted in your heart. I loathed myself for my thoughtlessness and withoututtering a word, left your house full of shame.
After a week, I reflected on the times we had spent together; I decided to patch up thewounds in your heart. However, I received a text from you, which asked me to forget everythingand move on with life
I was crushed. But I guessed I deserved all this. I just lay down on mybed, looking into the emptiness of the white ceiling.The next day, I went to church and was surprised that you were there too.
I took theopportunity to say that I was sorry. You held my hands for a few seconds trying to reassure methat everything was all right. I was stumped by how calm you were in dealing with the misery.My attempt to put up a cool front crumbled.
