In the past, gender played a significant role in determining specific jobs for men and women. However, modern society has witnessed a shift towards greater integration of gender roles. Although only a minority of societies still adhere to strict gender roles today, historically men were primarily responsible for physically demanding tasks such as farming, building, mining, and providing security. Conversely, women usually performed less strenuous jobs that revolved around family care.

Historically, fathers were responsible for providing financial support to the family, while mothers dedicated their efforts to raising children. Nonetheless, societal expectations have blurred traditional gender roles and now both men and women enjoy equal opportunities in comparable occupations. Women have achieved notable progress in education and are now able to hold leadership positions in fields such as management and engineering that were

once male-dominated.

The increase in the number of active female security officers in society has led to a need for both genders to cooperate in taking care of the family. If a woman is pursuing education or working, it is expected that the man should assist with household chores.

Expectations for both genders

Education is now recognized by various cultures as it provides opportunities beyond traditional childcare roles.

In today's society, there is an expectation for both women and men to engage in community involvement after completing their education. The shift towards a service-based society, caused by the decrease in wealth due to population growth, has led to the anticipation of equal employment opportunities and pay for both genders. a flourishing family and society overall. However, women are still expected to fulfill important responsibilities within the family, such as caring for the children's hygiene and cooking for the family.

My perspective on Sandberg's writing.

I agree with Sandberg's views on gender roles. Women should have the opportunity to fully utilize their abilities and pursue their aspirations in life (Sandberg 8). When women pursue higher education while married, there should be a reevaluation of traditional gender roles within the family.

It lessens the household work burden that hinders women from progressing. House chores can be time-consuming, especially when it takes a while for children to become independent and require less attention. By sharing responsibilities, both men and women can develop equally, leading to a thriving community (Sandberg 30). Women should not be criticized or underestimated for taking on other responsibilities, such as business roles, while still taking care of their children or spouse.

Unison empowers individuals to achieve their dreams and succeed.
