EDPM – Types of Paper

- thick and durable - uncoated - high quality - used for: letterheads, buisness forms

- translucent (partially see through) -thin and light -relatively strong - uses: airmail, with carbon paper for making duplicates, reducing weight when large numbers of records are printed

- very thin, low quality paper - much more opaque than onionskin papaer - uses: printing draft quality documents, bible pages

- is fairly thin - underneath is coated with dark waxy pigment - uses: making duplicates

- white - fairly light - does not curl easily - suitable for use in copiers - used for: copying documents, laser printers, general purpose office use

- also called (NCR) - used as alternative to carbon paper - multipart paper: bottom of sheets coated with dye, top of sheets coated with clay that reacts to the dye

- smooth - stiff - fairly inexpensive - not very thick - uses: post cards, greeting cards, buisness reply cards

- stiff - fairly heavy - used for: presentation covers, greeting cards, buisness cards
