The duties and responsibilities of new cadets are, learning basic drill movements, how to report properly, how to fall in properly to a unit formation, and get to know the members of your unit.

. Dream big . Identify a specific goal and write it down . List the steps needed to reach the goal . Get help and suppot from others . Work toward your goal, one step at a time . Reward yourself along the way and when you complete a goal

. Keep a calendar . Wear a watch . Keep a notepad . Create "do lists" . Make a time inventory . Allow for flexibility and fun
