During my time in high school in Senegal, I cultivated a deep interest in the humanities and social sciences. This preference was evident to those around me, including my teachers and close friends, who could readily detect my lack of enthusiasm for mathematics and other technical subjects.
During high school, my main focus was on humanities. As a result, I had better grades in social sciences and humanities compared to math and English. The sciences intimidated me, and I felt anxious about studying subjects that involved technology and numbers. Because of this fear, I chose to postpone selecting my desired majors until after high school.

...n, I had to abandon my previous plans and start fresh in making life decisions. Coming from Senegal, I faced unexpected challenges like language barriers and cultural differences.
By overcoming all these fears, I realized that I had the opportunity to conquer a major fear by choosing a major without any fear. Initially, I recognized the need to enhance my English skills during my studies at Montgomery College. Additionally, I took a lower-level mathematics course to improve my math grades. Presently, I am delighted that my dedication has paid off and I am no longer intimidated by any subject, stepping outside my comfort zone. Following two years at MC, I made the decision to pursue a major in accounting and information systems.
