question
Why Osteopathic Medicine?
answer
From my shadowing experiences, I have realized the osteopathic medicine is a perfect fit for me. I believe that osteopathic physicians overall must possess a more compassionate and empathetic approach to medicine, treating the patient as a partner is the medical process. The whole body incorporation treatment as well as OMM training offer extra training which improves the medical experience. Especially in the transitional state health care is in, I believe that osteopathic medicine now more than ever will become more prominent in promoting preventative care. Through my shadowing experience, I observed subtle differences in the MD and DO professions, including interpersonal relations and overall atmosphere of the medical office
