A male or female form that goes from the waistline down to, and including, the feet. Men's form will usually wear size 30 trousers with a 32-inch inseam. Female pants forms are designed to wear a size 8. If the legs are crossed, one leg will be removable to facilitate dressing the form. It is often provided with a foot spike that will hold the form in a standing position.

A waist-to-knees form for showing panties,girdles, or bikini bottoms. These forms are about 2 feet tall and are usually used for counter and ledge displays.

pantyhose form

A lightweight female form that extends from waist to toes. The toe can be set into a toe bracket, permitting the form to stand in an upright position. It may also be inverted to rest on its waist, with the legs up. The same form can also display stretch tights and pants.

pinup techniques

Make use of a panel, a wall, or some other vertical surface onto which a garment can be pinned, shaped, and dimensionalized. Pads, tissue, and straight pins are used to fill out the garment where the form is needed. Accessories are pinned on at appropriate locations, and shoes are placed in front of the \"dressed\" panel.

A mannequin that is dressed and pinned so there are no wrinkles or creases; the arms typically hang straight down, with the shirt sleeve neatly positioned to peek out.

A half-round, lightweight partial torso form similar to a bra, blouse, or sweater form. The front is fully sculpted, but the back is scooped out.

A life size doll covered in black, dark brown, or off-white jerseylike fabric, with little or no facial detail. The skeleton of this abstract figure is a bendable wire armature that is embedded in soft, spongy foam filler.

A form in the shape of a leg, used for merchandising hosiery. It has a hollow top into which the waistband of the hose can be inserted. The form is available in assorted lengths, depending on the merchandise to be displayed, such as thigh-high, knee-high, or calf-high.

three-quarter form

A form that has a body extending to the knees or just below. It can have an adjustable rod and a weighted base. Usually, it has a head, and the legs are parted. It may or may not have arms.

A headless three-quarter form that comes just to the knees.

trunk form

A male form generally starts at the diaphragm (above the waistline) and continues to just below the knees; shorter forms are cut at midthigh. It is used to show shorts, underwear, swimwear, and so on.
