which society, Gupta India or Han China, was more successful?
answer
The Gupta Society in classical india, and the Han society in classical india were both succesful. The Gupta dynasty was classical india's \"golden age\" The Gupta's were very successful, but they did not own a very large territory as the Hans did. The Gupta's enforced the Hindu beliefs and ethics to govern their people. They kept order of the people in the caste system, where everyone accepted their place due to the belief that their past lives led them to their placement. Although the Gupta's has no powerful tyrant leader, the Brahmin and priests expressed their divinity to the people to gain respect. the hans on the other hand had a powerful emperor who over saw the territory and appointed bureaucrats to govern areas. Trade was more of use in the Gupta's because they were not isolated like the Hans in classical china. Both of these dynasties were succesful in their own ways and contributed greatly to classical india and China.
