Investigate and ascertain the following; • Carry licenses have addresses listed on them and they have to match the location. o Limited Carry license also has time & day of week listed on rear. • Premise licenses also have addresses and have to match too but they can be traveling to/from an authorized range. If so, see if the gun was properly transported; o Unloaded in a locked container with ammunition carried separately • Lost or stolen, or for any other incident, ascertain if firearm was properly safeguarded and whether any unauthorized person(s) had access to the handgun • If allegation that licensee made threatening statements, improperly displayed a firearm, was involved in a firearms discharge or for any ongoing disputes, ascertain whether all relevant parties/witnesses have been identified and interviewed

• The licensee/permit holder is arrested, regardless of charge. • An Order of Protection exists against the licensee/permit holder. • The incident involves physical force or the threat of physical force. • Circumstances lead to the belief that continued presence of a firearm would create an unjustifiable risk of unlawful use or possession of firearm, or injury to anyone. • Further investigation by the License Division is needed to determine whether the actions of the licensee/permit holder affect their qualifications for the license or permit. • Any other situation that may affect public safety. • Invoice firearms only on PCI & Include the following statement in the "Remarks" section; o "Firearms shall not be released without written authorization of C.O., License Division."

Meal Period: General Rule:

-No meal assigned during first or last 1 1/2 hours of tour except in emergency. -8 or 9 hour shift ONE meal period lasting 1 hour -12 hour shift TWO meal periods lasting 45 minutes each (non-consecutive) -If taking lost time: • Must be scheduled for 8 consecutive hours to be eligible for a meal. • If scheduled for a full tour and request lost time of 3 hours or less, you ARE eligible for a meal as long as you request the lost time PRIOR to the start of the tour.

There are TWO new "barrier tapes" • "POLICE LINE Do Not Cross" —WHITE tape with BLUE letters. o To establish a 'secure area' for police operations; close streets, secure transit facilities, etc. • "CRIME SCENE Do Not Cross" —YELLOW tape with BLACK letters. o ONLY authorized, trained, equipped, actively involved personnel whose presence is ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED will be permitted —absent exigents involving life or safety. o Deployment of tape for any other reason is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
