They help the students do the research and find themselves. About 6,000 students are enrolled in the University Studies major each semester, but around 25,000 students each semester use their office for help with making their schedule, especially with general classes and with new incoming freshmen.

There are three departments in this building: Earth Science, Chemistry, and Physics Over 200 students are involved in research projects Students are invited to work with professors in research in fields from acoustics to nuclear physics. There are dozens of projects available. Our students regularly present their work at meetings across the country.

These balloon routine fly to over 110,000 feet.

Engaged Learning: physics professor using ultrasound to do cancer research; 16 students involved on the project Astronomers use research telescopes all across the world, including space telescopes like the Hubble telescope. Their research areas are in the birth processes of stars, and in measuring the size of the universe itself. There is a sweet astronomy lab with Thursday night star shows for students enrolled in astronomy (but public shows are available upon request [call Karl Haisch 801-863- 6473])

One of our professors is a co-discoverer of the Higgs Boson (an elementary particle in the Standard Model of particle physics)

Nursing students score well above the national average on the license exam Higher than average acceptance rate in medical school Our anatomy lab is AWESOME. UVU has one of the largest deaf communities in the nation Received a grant for the Deaf Digital Library Wolverine Crossing has a section for deaf students The most common job for graduating students is an interpreter

There are more than 700 international students Study abroad programs are available Culture nights for other students to get to know that culture As of Spring 2015, most international students come from South Korea, and Saudi Arabia

Parking permits are $90 for the school year or $60 for a semester for the yellow permit or you can park in the free lot with a purple permit

UVU has around 32,000 students with an average class size of 24 so a building full of classrooms was necessary Each professor has time set aside to accommodate students to help them succeed By the end of the decade, UVU expects to have more than 43,000 students enrolled

First and second floors are a normal noise level while the third, fourth and fifth are silent study floors. Studies show that people study and retain information best with natural lighting, so most of the library is lit by sunlight. Lights are dimmed when there is more sunlight. Big windows looking out to the mountains Writing Center is available to help with any writing assignments you may have, and you will have them This is the largest open computer lab on campus Can reserve group/individual study rooms and video viewing rooms Some textbooks are available to check out You can check out cameras, video cameras, and GoPros There is an art exhibit on the 5th floor Librarians can help you do research 200,000+ books and 70,000+ digital magazines

"Roots of Knowledge" represents man's quest for knowledge starting with the creation and spanning the Bronze Age, Age of Enlightenment, the Renaissance, the Industrial Age, to the modern era 90+ panels will be completed for UVU's 75th anniversary in 2016-2017 Engaged Learning: Internship opportunities to help assemble the project and others to help with the website and publicity.
