The double consciousness idea forces the president to present himself to the white people as a white person so that he can be accepted by the white people. The president is obliged to present himself as an African American so that the minority group can feel included in the free country’s activities.

President Obama’s administration is trying to overcome the structural inequality that enforces racism without naming the programs responsible. The president is capable of identifying with the poor and the rich who work had to restore the economic collapse to the financial system to profits that facilitated the collapse. President Obama’s administration is trying to reduce racial disparities in criminal justice by creating employment and education to the African Americans and Hispanics (Double Consciousness, 2016). The creation jobs and education to the African Americans and Hispanics help to reduce crime since most of them are uneducated and unemployed. The government is reducing the racial health disparities on the less fortunate by covering them in the health cover.

President Obama’s administration is trying to fight double consciousness by eliminating of any form of discrimination. Discrimination takes various forms in many parts of the world hence there are many strategies to combat each kind of discrimination that arises (Double Consciousness, 2016). Most common cases of discrimination are because of sex, race, social condition, language, and religion among others. The United States is formulating various methods to fight any form of discrimination present in the United States by making strict Laws to protect

the individuals.

In the 21st century, the color line continues to be a persistent problem in the whole world since many new and old forms still exist. Some of the citizens still want to treat other people unfairly because of their color line and not as a normal human being. The common color line disparities that are discussable below include racial disparities in criminal justice and racial health disparities (Double Consciousness, 2016). The others include racial and ethical disparities in education and race and ethnicity wage gap.

Racial disparity in criminal justice is a major color line disparity in the United States since the African Americans and Hispanics commit more crimes (Double Consciousness, 2016). The African Americans and Hispanics from a minor group of people in the United States, but they are differentially involved in criminality since they commit more crime. The African Americans and Hispanics commit more crimes since they are not educated and are unemployed. President Obama’s administration is trying to reduce racial disparities in criminal justice by creating employment and education to the African Americans and Hispanics (Barack, 2008). The creation employment and education to the African Americans and Hispanics help to reduce crime since most of them are uneducated and unemployed.

The racial health disparities in a country arise if a certain group of people is covered under the health cover (Double Consciousness, 2016). Some of African Americans and Hispanics are unemployed hence they are no to access the health cover hence the racial health disparities arises when the services offered to them are of low quality. The United States passed a law on the rights and legislation on inequality against racial and ethnic

groups to help cater for the less fortunate. Other causes of racial health disparities are the lack of communication and language barrier that affect the health outcomes and access to medical care. The government is reducing the racial health disparities on the less fortunate by covering them in the health cover.

The racial and ethical disparities in education arise from the school systems that previously offered the minority students with opportunities to learn are now not providing and availing them (Double Consciousness, 2016). The school systems are retaining the educational opportunities meant to be for the minority students in the predominately white schools. The public schools are segregated with large numbers of students in one class with inadequate facilities. The lack of enough resource in the minority schools makes the students get quality education to be helpful in the society. Most of the schools in the poor neighborhood are struggling to finance the provision of books in the society (Barack, 2008). The minority schools are not able to get fully qualified and experienced teachers since they cannot afford to pay them with the low property taxes.

Disparities on color line are persistent since there are race and ethnicity wage gap between people with different races in the country (Double Consciousness, 2016). The first gap is between men and women in the same work in the same country. Women earn less than men with all racial and ethnic groups. The white men earn more compared to all other groups of the people while the African American and Hispanic women earn the least due to color line disparities. With low pay amongst the African American and Hispanic group makes

it difficult to pay all taxes and bills for them to live a comfortable life.

President Lyndon Johnson signed the Voting Rights Act into law on August 6, 1965. The right to vote act was aiming at overcoming legal barriers at the state and local levels prevented and denied the African Americans from exercising their rights (Rowe, 2011). The Voting Rights Act extensively widened the authorization and is one of the most comprehensive pieces of civil rights legislation in United States history. Enfranchisement ameliorates the black man's life in many ways that are explainable below.

The voting right helps the African American and Hispanic minority group to choose one of their own to represent them. Choosing one of their own to represent them helps the minority group to feel included in the national decision-making process (Barack, 2008). The black man’s community gets to have a say in the decision-making of the matters concerning the African American and Hispanic group of people (Rowe, 2011). The right to vote helped in reduction of racism since the minority is represented and no group is left out. The African American and the Hispanic group of the minority get to be recognized as ordinary people since the elected person with the minority group gets to fight for their rights.

The African American and Hispanic people get to vote in a president of their choice and other leaders who will get to air their grievances in the national assembly. The elected person can identify and air the grievances of the people to the federal government, and the motions are discussed (Barack, 2008). The leader selected can cross check that resources are divided into the

minority group of people. The right to vote is helping to electing people who bring development to the areas in the rural and upcountry (Rowe, 2011). The evolution in the local area helps to create employment to the unemployed people in the society. The elected person gets to initiate the building of social amenities in the areas where black people live.
