This shows that Jane cares about Elizabeth and wants her to marry for love, not money. Lady Catherine: she is angry and thinks it is inappropriate because Elizabeth is of the lower class than Darcy. She also wants Darcy to be with her daughter. She thinks that marrying Elizabeth, someone of the lower class, would ruin Darcy's life with friends and more. She tells Elizabeth that she must obey her. This shows that lady Catherine only cares about social class and not love. . ?Wickham: he is angry because he tried to woo Elizabeth but it didn't work.
