My goal in life is to achieve honorable success in my profession and to become a citizen of the highest integrity in my community. To this end, I RESOLVE THAT: • Honesty and integrity in thought, word and deed shall characterize my relationship with others. Excellence shall be the hallmark of my endeavors. VFMA&C was founded in 1928 by Major Milton G. Baker, Pennsylvania Army National Guard, later Lieutenant General, Pennsylvania Guard.

Answer: It consists of an emblem borne on a shield and surmounted by a crest. The shield is of red and white vertical stripes with a blue field containing thirteen stars, one for each of the original thirteen colonies, later states. The crest comprises an eagle with wings displayed and a scroll bearing the motto, "Courage, Honor, Conquer." The emblem consists of a depiction of General George Washington kneeling in prayer in the snow at Valley Forge typifying the spirit and principles of the school. The sword is the symbol of the military. The act of kneeling by General Washington is the symbol of humility and indomitable faith in the face of adversity.

It is symbolic of the two edged Knight's Sword referred to by Alumni as the Golden Sword and represents righteousness, conscience, courage and honor. Graduates do not pass the Golden Sword without touching its hilt.
